What Army regulation covers profiles?
The guidance for profiles is located in Army Regulation 40-501, Chapter 7, AR 600-20, AR 600-8-101, and Command Policy letter, MEDCEN-01. The goal of a profile is to provide the commander an understanding of what a Soldier can do while going through physiological rehabilitation.
Does a Soldier have to show their profile?
The profile is honored only if the individual has the document on hand and can present it when asked. When reviewing a Soldier’s profile, a leader should first check the PULHES section (block 3).
Do I have to carry my profile on me Army?

Can you line up your beard with profile army?
Mustaches will not present a chopped off or bushy appearance, and no portion of the mustache will cover the upper lip line or extend sideways beyond a vertical line drawn upward from the corners of the mouth. Handlebar mustaches, goatees, and beards are not authorized.
