Does Eternabond really work?
One of the few RV sealants made in tape form, EternaBond will stop or prevent almost any leak as it provides a permanent bond to virtually any surface and works very well for most non-pressurized leaks.
What is comparable to Eternabond tape?
Other brands that are not as common, but still widely used, are Sika® Multiseal Plus and Dicor DiSeal. Since these other brands provide similar performance to Eternabond®, we determined a comparison between 4EvaSeal® and Eternabond® would be the most appropriate.
Can you seal over Eternabond?
This stuff is very pliable and will completely seal over the uneven surfaces of the dicor. Eternabond will stick just fine to Dicor. Clean the surface first, and use a roller to press it down. SB fine unless you used self leveling silicone which Eternabond doesn’t like.
How long does EternaBond take to cure?
The Eternabond will be placed so that it covers the roof edge and also overlaps the RainKap creating a water tight seal. Take a dry rag and remove any loose debris from the area. Now use a damp rage to get rid of any dirt. Let the area dry for at least 30 minutes.
Can you overlap Eternabond tape?
Yes, you can overlap it. Get a small 1.5 inch roller and PUSH like mad on the Eternabond when installing. The adhesive is pressure activated.
How do you prepare surface for Eternabond?
If cleaning the surface is not totally effective or consistent then: Use “EternaPrime” tape primer and surface conditioner. EternaPrime is a quick and easy, very low VOC, aerosol spray or liquid that will coat any contaminates on the substrate with the same resins used in EternaBond and assure a strong permanent bond.

You don’t need the Eternabond Primer. Just use mineral spirits or acetone. Clean the area well before applying. You do need a roller to apply the Eternabond properly.

Some use isopropyl alchohol, some use mineral spirits, some use acetone. Location: Chattanooga, Tn. Wash the area with a Rubber Roof Cleaner and then rinse the area well. Let dry and in stall tape.
