Yes, dogs are allowed on the beach, in the shops and in the restaurants on Fistral all year round, and we’ve found that they are very welcome everywhere in Newquay generally.
Is Porth beach safe?
Porth beach, on the eastern side of Newquay, is very popular with families and has a large area of flat golden sand that offers safe bathing. There’s level access to the beach and there is pleasant walking around Porth Island. Lifeguard cover between the 15th of May and the 26th of September (2021).
